Y1 - Y6 PRIMARY SCHOOL

Singapore Curriculum

We aim to provide all students with learning opportunities that recognise their strengths and develop their full potential.

We adopt the Singapore Curriculum to provide a strong foundation to develop and nurture students’ abilities.

This robust curriculum is focused on ensuring that students have a good grasp of English language, Chinese language, Mathematics, and Science, with several additional curriculum elements, including moral/character education, religious studies, local and foreign languages, and physical education. Activities are designed to ignite students’ passion for learning, to make them confident, self-directed, and active learners.

WE BELIEVE CHILDREN SUCCEED WITH THE SUPPORTIVE SURRONDINGS.

WE BELIEVE CHILDREN SUCCEED WITH THE SUPPORTIVE SURRONDINGS.

Embracing the best education system which has been proven to be in the top ranks of PISA since 2009, we will enable students to spiral up and develop strong foundation in all core subjects. Our focus is to ensure each of our young learners is engaged in a myriad of ways, underpinned by the robust curriculum, supported by student centric programmes as well as our world class facilities.

UNDER THE PIAGET ACADEMY, WE ARE THE ONLY SCHOOLS IN INDONESIA PARTNERING WITH SINGAPORE EXAMINATIONS AND ASSESSMENT BOARD (SEAB) TO CONDUCT THE OFFICIAL IPSLE.

In Primary 6, the final year of primary school, all students will sit for the Singapore International Primary School Leaving Examinations (IPSLE). The internationally recognized iPSLE is managed by the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB), a Statutory Board within the Singapore Ministry of Education.

Project Based Learning

Project Based Learning (PBL)

PBL is a process of learning that is centered on a driving inquiry, leading to a guided investigative activity and the design of a formally assessed product or presentation which is directly linked to differentiated and targeted outcomes. Within PBL, students under the mentorship of teachers will have the freedom to explore knowledge points and technology at differing depths through collaborative effort and research. Parent engagement and community outreach will be one common pillar of all PBL projects.

Model United Nation (MUN)

Model United Nations (MUN) is a simulation of United Nations procedures where the participants role-play as UN delegates and engage in negotiations, discussions, and lively debates, the cornerstones of UN activity. In most international schools, MUN is adopted as one extracurricular activity at the High School level. Offered from the very first level of Primary School at SNA, Model United Nations (MUN) lets the students face the real-world issues with the policies and perspectives of their assigned country. We believe this not only develops their communication skill and confidence in leading others, but also strengthens their awareness of global issues and empathy towards the unfortunate.

TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION

CODING

As what Jack Ma said, we believe it's not the technology that changes the world, it's the dreams behind the technology that change the world. At SNA, we aim to equip students with the skills they need for the world of work, inspire more of them to develop their talents in computing and help them to problem solve and become logical thinkers. Creative projects will be key to making sure that all students become computer literate.

Great Exploration in Math and Science (GEMS)

Our GEMS curriculum provides strong emphasis on cooperative learning and problem solving. We engage our students in direct experience and experimentation to introduce basic Mathematics and Science principles and concepts. GEMS Science contents reflect life science, physical science, earth science, and science as inquiry.

At SNA, a dedicated GEMS Laboratory is prepared to cater the students’ learning needs.
