A 14-day tournament featuring six sports and attracting over 3,500 participants
Sidoarjo, 1 February 2026 — Following the success of SNA Cup 2025, Singapore National Academy (SNA) proudly hosted SNA Cup 2026, an interschool sports tournament bringing together students from primary, secondary, and high school levels across Surabaya, Sidoarjo, and surrounding areas. The event took place over 14 days, from 19 January to 1 February 2026, featuring six sports: basketball, swimming, dance, badminton, futsal, and chess.
In organizing SNA Cup 2026, SNA collaborated with several official sports federations, including PERBASI (Indonesian Basketball Association), PRSI (Indonesian Swimming Association), AFI (Indonesian Futsal Association), PBSI (Indonesian Badminton Association), Akuatik Indonesia, and PERCASI (Indonesian Chess Association). This year’s competition welcomed schools from across East Java, including Surabaya, Sidoarjo, Gresik, and Tulungagung, as well as participants from Central Java, West Java, and the Special Region of Yogyakarta.
The Chairperson of SNA Cup 2026, Ms. Arga Ribut Fibriana, shared her enthusiasm for the event, stating, “Seeing the enthusiasm of the participants this year is truly inspiring. With the addition of more sports categories, SNA Cup continues to grow into a positive platform for students to learn healthy competition, uphold sportsmanship, and build self-confidence.” She added that SNA Cup is designed to be more than just a competition. “We hope every participant takes home valuable experiences, meaningful connections, and joyful memories that will stay with them throughout their educational journey.”
As one of the fastest-growing student sports competitions in East Java, SNA Cup 2026 recorded significant growth compared to the previous year. The event welcomed more than 4,250 visitors and involved 3,563 participants, marking an increase of approximately 23% compared to SNA Cup 2025, which had 2,883 participants.
The Heads of School for PGTK & Primary, Ms. Helen Rivera, and Secondary & High School, Mr. Paul Taylor, also expressed their pride in the successful execution of SNA Cup 2026 as part of SNA’s commitment to holistic education.
Ms. Helen Rivera further emphasized, “At Singapore National Academy, we believe that education goes beyond academics. It also includes character development, social skills, and students’ physical well-being. Through events like SNA Cup, students learn essential values such as discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship, mental resilience, and leadership.”
The success of SNA Cup 2026 was made possible with the support of various sponsors.
